1)Purpose and Scope of AI in LegalSeek

a)Septillion Solutions Limited operates LegalSeek with a commitment to the responsible, transparent, human-centered, and secure use of artificial intelligence within legal and related professional workflows.

b)LegalSeek uses artificial intelligence to assist users and legal professionals with legal research, document drafting and analysis, case organization, knowledge retrieval, informational support, and other AI-enabled features made available through the Platform.

c)The purpose of LegalSeek’s AI functionalities is to improve efficiency, accessibility, productivity, and organization while supporting informed decision-making. AI within LegalSeek is designed to assist users and legal professionals and not to replace independent professional judgment or qualified legal advice.

d)This Policy applies to all AI-enabled functionalities developed, operated, or made available through the LegalSeek Platform, including its website, mobile applications, software, legal research tools, document features, case-management functions, and related services.

e)LegalSeek develops and operates its AI functionalities with consideration for applicable laws, regulatory requirements, responsible AI principles, user safety, transparency, privacy, data protection, and the protection of fundamental rights in the jurisdictions where LegalSeek operates.

f)This Policy should be read together with the LegalSeek Evaluation Terms of Service, Privacy & Data Protection Policy, Cookie & Tracking Policy, Security & Platform Integrity Policy, Acceptable Use & Community Guidelines, and other LegalSeek policies applicable to the relevant feature or service.

 

2)Nature of AI-Generated Outputs

a)LegalSeek's AI functionalities generate responses through automated processing of user inputs, available legal knowledge, and other information made available to the Platform. AI-generated outputs are intended to support legal research, document drafting, analysis, organization, and other informational assistance requested by users.

b)AI-generated outputs are designed to assist users and legal professionals by providing relevant information and recommendations based on the available inputs and system capabilities. Such outputs may not always be complete, accurate, current, or applicable to every legal jurisdiction or factual situation.

c)Users remain responsible for independently reviewing, verifying, and evaluating AI-generated outputs before relying on them in any legal, professional, commercial, or other important context.

d)Where AI-generated outputs are used in connection with legal services provided through the Platform, the relevant legal professional remains responsible for exercising independent professional judgment and complying with applicable professional, ethical, and legal obligations.

e)LegalSeek strives to continuously improve the quality, reliability, and usefulness of its AI functionalities; however, LegalSeek does not guarantee that AI-generated outputs will be error-free, complete, current, or suitable for any specific legal matter or intended purpose.

 

3)No Legal Advice and Professional Judgment

a)LegalSeek’s AI functionalities are designed to provide legal research assistance, document support, analysis, drafting assistance, and general legal information. AI-generated outputs do not constitute legal advice, a legal opinion, legal representation, or professional legal services provided by LegalSeek.

b)Use of LegalSeek’s AI functionalities does not replace consultation with a qualified legal professional where advice specific to a user’s circumstances, jurisdiction, rights, obligations, or legal matter is required.

c)Users remain responsible for evaluating AI-generated outputs and for any decision, action, submission, communication, or other use made in reliance on those outputs.

d)Where a lawyer or other legal professional uses AI-generated outputs in connection with professional services, that professional remains responsible for independently reviewing the output, applying professional judgment, and complying with all applicable legal, ethical, regulatory, confidentiality, and professional obligations.

e)LegalSeek does not establish a lawyer-client relationship through the use of its AI functionalities. Any lawyer-client relationship formed through LegalSeek’s marketplace or professional-services features exists directly between the user and the selected legal professional and is governed by the applicable LegalSeek Marketplace & Professional Services Terms.

 

4)User Responsibility and Appropriate Use

a)Users are responsible for their use of LegalSeek's AI functionalities and for ensuring that such use complies with applicable laws, regulations, ethical standards, and the LegalSeek Terms of Service and other applicable Platform policies.

b)Users must ensure that any information, prompts, documents, or other content submitted to LegalSeek's AI functionalities are lawful, appropriate, and reasonably necessary for the intended purpose.

c)Users must not use LegalSeek's AI functionalities for unlawful, fraudulent, misleading, harmful, abusive, discriminatory, or unethical purposes, or in any manner that infringes the rights of others or compromises the security or integrity of the Platform.

d)Users remain responsible for reviewing, verifying, and appropriately using AI-generated outputs before relying upon or sharing them. AI-generated outputs should not be represented as verified legal advice, official legal documents, or professional opinions without appropriate human review where required.

e)Use of LegalSeek's AI functionalities remains subject to the LegalSeek Acceptable Use & Community Guidelines, which form part of LegalSeek's overall legal framework.

f)LegalSeek implements automated input and output safety guardrails, moderation filters, and other technical measures designed to reduce the generation of unlawful, harmful, abusive, or inappropriate content. Users may report or flag inaccurate, misleading, offensive, or otherwise improper AI-generated outputs directly through the Platform’s in-app reporting mechanism. LegalSeek may review such reports and use them to support content moderation, system safety, and service improvement.

 

 

 

 

5)Data Usage in AI Systems

a)LegalSeek processes user inputs submitted through its AI functionalities solely for the purpose of generating requested responses, providing AI-enabled features, and delivering the services requested by users through the Platform.

b)LegalSeek processes only the information reasonably necessary for the operation of its AI functionalities and applies data minimization principles wherever appropriate.

c)LegalSeek does not use user-submitted legal documents, case materials, private communications, or other user content to train general-purpose artificial intelligence models.

d)LegalSeek processes AI requests through its own AI infrastructure and self-hosted Large Language Models (LLMs) operated within LegalSeek-controlled server environments. User prompts, legal documents, case materials, private communications, and AI-generated outputs are not transmitted to third-party AI providers for AI processing.

e)LegalSeek does not transmit user data to third-party AI services. AI requests are processed through our own self-hosted LLM infrastructure within LegalSeek-controlled servers.

f)AI processing is conducted using appropriate technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and security of information processed through the Platform.

g)The processing of personal data through AI functionalities remains subject to the LegalSeek Privacy & Data Protection Policy.

 

6)Limitations of AI Systems

a)LegalSeek's AI functionalities are designed to assist users and legal professionals by generating information, research assistance, document support, and other AI-enabled outputs based on available inputs and system capabilities.

b)AI-generated outputs may not always be complete, accurate, current, or applicable to every legal matter, jurisdiction, factual circumstance, or recent legal development. Users should independently review and verify AI-generated outputs before relying on them.

c)Legal frameworks, judicial interpretations, administrative practices, and legal procedures vary between jurisdictions and may change over time. AI-generated outputs may not fully reflect the most recent legal developments or the specific requirements applicable to every jurisdiction.

d)LegalSeek does not guarantee that AI-generated outputs will be free from errors, omissions, or limitations, or that they will be suitable for every legal, professional, commercial, or personal purpose. Access to AI functionalities may also be affected by maintenance, technical issues, or service availability.

e)AI-generated outputs are intended to support, and not replace, independent human judgment. Where AI-generated outputs are used in connection with professional legal services, the relevant legal professional remains responsible for independently reviewing the output and exercising professional judgment before relying upon or using it.

 

7)Transparency and Human Oversight

a)LegalSeek is committed to transparency in the use of artificial intelligence. Users are informed when they are interacting with AI-enabled features or receiving AI-generated outputs. Where appropriate to the relevant feature or output, LegalSeek may use visual notices, labels, or other contextual disclosures to identify AI-generated content.

b)AI-generated responses are produced through automated processing and do not ordinarily involve human review, approval, or verification unless explicitly stated or where a particular Platform feature provides otherwise.

c)Where appropriate, users may review, edit, reject, or disregard AI-generated outputs before using, sharing, or relying upon them.

d)Where AI-generated outputs are used by lawyers or other legal professionals in connection with professional services, those professionals remain responsible for independently reviewing the outputs and exercising their own professional judgment.

e)LegalSeek is committed to continuously improving the transparency, reliability, and responsible operation of its AI functionalities while maintaining appropriate safeguards for users and personal data.

 

8)Security and Confidentiality in AI Processing

a)LegalSeek implements appropriate technical and organizational measures designed to protect information processed through its AI functionalities against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, misuse, loss, or destruction.

b)Depending on the nature and risk of the processing, these measures may include encryption of data in transit and at rest, secure authentication, controlled access, role-based permissions, system monitoring, logging, backup and recovery procedures, vulnerability management, and other safeguards appropriate to the relevant AI functionality.

c)Access to information processed through AI functionalities is restricted to authorized personnel, service providers, or legal professionals only where such access is reasonably necessary to perform authorized responsibilities, provide requested services, maintain Platform security, or comply with applicable legal obligations.

d)LegalSeek applies data minimization principles and processes only the information reasonably necessary to provide, secure, maintain, and improve the relevant AI functionality.

e)LegalSeek's AI processing is performed through LegalSeek-controlled infrastructure and self-hosted AI systems. User information submitted for AI processing is not transmitted to third-party AI providers.

f)Where AI functionalities process sensitive personal data, criminal-conviction or offence information, confidential legal materials, or other information requiring enhanced protection under applicable law, LegalSeek applies additional safeguards appropriate to the nature, purpose, and risk of the processing. These safeguards may include encryption in transit and at rest, enhanced authentication, stricter role-based or need-to-know access controls, restricted administrative access, pseudonymization where appropriate and technically feasible, and security or access logging.

g)While LegalSeek applies appropriate safeguards, no method of electronic transmission, storage, or automated processing can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Users should protect their account credentials and promptly report suspected unauthorized access or misuse.

9)Feedback, Reporting, and Continuous Improvement

a)LegalSeek is committed to the continuous improvement of its AI functionalities while maintaining responsible AI practices, user privacy, data protection, and Platform security.

b)LegalSeek may collect and review user feedback, bug reports, feature requests, and other operational information to identify inaccuracies, improve AI performance, enhance usability, strengthen security, and support the ongoing development of the Platform.

c)Users are encouraged to report AI-generated outputs that they believe are inaccurate, misleading, inappropriate, technically incorrect, or inconsistent with applicable law. LegalSeek may review such reports and, where appropriate, take reasonable corrective or improvement measures.

d)LegalSeek periodically evaluates the performance, reliability, and responsible operation of its AI functionalities and may implement updates, refinements, or safeguards to improve accuracy, security, compliance, and user experience.

e)Any information used for testing, monitoring, or improving AI functionalities will be processed in accordance with the LegalSeek Privacy & Data Protection Policy and applicable law.

 

10)Changes to this AI Policy

a)LegalSeek may update this AI Policy from time to time to reflect technological advancements, changes in artificial intelligence capabilities, applicable laws, regulatory requirements, Platform functionality, security practices, or business operations.

b)The updated version of this AI Policy will be published on the Platform together with its revised "Last Updated" date and will become effective upon publication unless otherwise required by applicable law.

c)Where required by applicable law or where changes materially affect users' rights or obligations relating to AI functionalities, LegalSeek may provide notice through the Platform, email, or another appropriate communication method and, where necessary, request renewed acknowledgment or consent.
